Come and watch my upcoming lecture 'The Divine Feminine in Ancient Art' on the occasion of the World

From the depths of history the feminine was considered sacred and was worshiped as the matrix of creation. The wise, sensual and nurturing nature of the feminine was associated with the concept of fertility and creation, and took the form of the Great Mother Goddess in many ancient religions. Join us on a journey to rediscover and celebrate the divine feminine through art.

The Cultural Centre "Technopolis 20" organises lecture on "The Divine Feminine in Art" with Dr Stella Karageorgi, as part of a series of events that will take place at Technopolis 20, devoted to women, on the occasion of the World Women's Day. The lecture will take place on Friday, 13th of March at 7 pm.

Ο Πολιτιστικός Χώρος «Τεχνόπολις 20» στα πλαίσια μιας σειράς εκδηλώσεων αφιερωμένα στη Γυναίκα, με αφορμή την Παγκόσμια Ημέρα Γυναίκας, διοργανώνει διάλεξη με θέμα «Το Ιερό Θηλυκό στην Τέχνη», με ομιλήτρια την εικαστικό Δρ Στέλλα Καραγιώργη. Η διάλεξη θα πραγματοποιηθεί την Τετάρτη, 11 Μαρτίου και ώρα 7 μ.μ. Από τα βάθη της ιστορίας το θηλυκό στοιχείο θεωρείτον ιερό και λατρευόταν ως η μήτρα της δημιουργίας. Η σοφία, ο αισθησιασμός και η φροντίδα του θηλυκού συνδέθηκε με την έννοια της γονιμότητας και της δημιουργία, παίρνοντας την μορφή της Μεγάλης Μητέρας Θεάς σε πολλές πανάρχαιες θρησκείες.
